Corporate Event – Inanda

One of our loyal corporate clients hosted a function at Inanda. The event required 3 black bedouin stretch tents to be joined together with a raised flooring system included. There was a combination of carpeting and dark oak vinyl added to finish off the look. Thank you to Afresh for supplying the event decor.

Wedding @ Glenshiel

Last weekend, we were at Glenshiel for a wedding. The client requested a curved marquee on 4 metre legs with vertical glass panels for the structure. We employed a raised decking system due to the lay of the land and glass balustrading was added for a sleek finish. Our popular oak vinyl flooring was laid over the decking.

Castle Gate

Last week saw the opening of the Castle Gate property development in Pretoria and African Thunder was on hand to supply vinyl flooring for the event.

Horsing Around!

The highly anticipated 2019 Nedbank International Polo takes place tomorrow at the Inanda Club in Sandton and it’s all systems go! The hospitality bedouin tent has been set up and the vinyl flooring is down with the furniture and decor almost ready as well!

South Africa will size up against New Zealand as a fitting International Polo Test the weekend before the 2019 Rugby World Cup Test between the Springboks and the All Blacks. This event is a highlight on Johannesburg’s social calendar and spectators can look forward to a match that promises to reignite the age-old rivalry between South Africa and New Zealand.

See you all tomorrow for a festive day in the sun! The Nedbank hospitality is sure to be spectacular.

Teamwork Makes The Dream Work!

It takes a strong team all working together for a marquee to go up. Here we are erecting a round roof marquee structure for one of our many loyal clients.

Round Roof Structure

Setup Of The “Shell”

The video clip below shows our team busy setting up what we like to call the “shell”. The marquee structure has been erected. The Grey PVC Sheeting as well as the Glass Windows & Doors have been installed. The flooring system has been levelled out, which will allow for the flooring boards to be laid. Carpeting is the final layer on the floor and Draping is the final layer over the ceiling.

From here, the Event Coordinator and his/her team will move in and create a themed setting made up of lighting, sound, furniture, floral arrangements and more!

Our aim is to complete our job tidily, timeously and efficiently to provide enough time for the rest of the event setup to be completed ahead of schedule!

Inclement Weather!

Watch the video clip to see just how secure our marquee structures are despite inclement weather conditions. The structures are suitable for all types of weather, especially the rainy season on the Highveld!
